The rules for the Holiday Group are configured on the Holiday Rule tab.
Qualifying Criteria Options
Worked Shift on Holiday
The employee must have worked the (scheduled) shift ON the holiday to receive holiday pay. If an Attendance Code is present indicating that the employee is taking that shift off, tick the field Worked for Holiday in the Attendance Code configuration if this code should not disqualify the employee from receiving holiday pay.
Did not Work Shift on Holiday
The employee must NOT have worked the (scheduled) shift on the holiday to receive holiday pay.
Based on Majority of Hours Worked
This option is enabled when one of the two preceding options are ticked, allowing the shift to qualify or not as a shift worked on a holiday, based on a majority of the hours threshold.
Work Shift Before
The employee must have worked the (scheduled) shift BEFORE the holiday to receive holiday pay. If an Attendance Code is present indicating that the employee is taking that shift off, tick the field Worked for Holiday in the Attendance Code configuration if this code should not disqualify the employee from receiving holiday pay.
Work Shift After
The employee must have worked the (scheduled) shift AFTER the holiday to receive holiday pay. If an Attendance Code is present indicating that the employee is taking that shift off, tick the field Worked for Holiday in the Attendance Code configuration if this code should not disqualify the employee from receiving holiday pay.
Work Shift Either Before or After
The employee must have worked either the (scheduled) shift BEFORE OR AFTER the holiday to receive holiday pay. If an Attendance Code is present indicating that the employee is taking that shift off, tick the field Worked for Holiday in the Attendance Code configuration if this code should not disqualify the employee from receiving holiday pay.
Worked X weekdays out of X
This option is used to define a relative point in time from which to count backwards four weeks. An employee should work at least one day on the same day of the week as the holiday falls.
Example: The system defines the holiday as a Monday. This is the relative point from which to count back four (4) weeks. The employee should work at least one day on the same day as the holiday. So if the Civic Holiday is Monday, August 2nd, the system will review if the employee worked on July 26th, July 19th, July 12th and July 5th (all Mondays) going back four(4) weeks.
Prerequisite
To be qualified for the holiday the employee should work the shift on holiday plus the additional rule defined in this section. Click on the arrow beside the window for a drop-down list of the Prerequisite rules to select from.
